How to Upgrade from macOS Monterey to macOS Ventura

Make sure your Mac is plugged into power & connected to the internet.

It's also a good idea to back up your Mac using Time Machine.

When you're ready, click the Apple menu

Then click System Preferences,

and click Software Update.

In addition to macOS Ventura,

you might see available updates for macOS Monterey.

Installing these updates first

will make the macOS Ventura download smaller and faster.

and then click Install Now and follow the prompts.

You might be asked to review and accept

the terms and conditions in order to continue.

Click Agree to confirm

and enter your administrator password.

Now you're ready to upgrade.

Click Upgrade Now and then follow the prompts.

You might be asked to review and accept

the terms and conditions in order to continue,

and enter your administrator password again.

When macOS Ventura begins downloading,

the progress bar will show an estimate

The installation might take a little while to complete.

Some Mac computers might restart or the screen could dim.

Make sure to leave your Mac alone

while the installation completes.

When the upgrade is done,

just log back into your Mac to use all the latest features.
