Goa All India Trinamool Congress (TMC) recently launched a new scheme called Griha Laxmi, which provides assured monthly income support to every household. Under this scheme, a direct transfer of ₹5000 per month (₹60000 yearly) will be made to a woman of every household as guaranteed income support.
To be eligible for this scheme the beneficiary that is the woman of the household need to get registered for the Griha Laxmi Scheme by obtaining a Griha Laxmi Card. However, the registration process to apply for the Griha Laxmi Scheme has been kept very simple and completely online, but for those who are not comfortable with online mode then for them, the offline mode is also available.

How to Register for Griha Laxmi Card Online
To register for Griha Laxmi Card visit the official website https://grihalaxmicard.in/
In the registration form box, enter your 10 digits mobile number and click on the begin registration button
You will receive a one-time-password on your registered mobile number
Enter the same in the next field and click on the submit button
On the next page, you will need to fill up your details like your full name, gender, age, address, pin code, and assembly constituency, etc.
Once filling up these details, just click on the submit button
On the next screen, your Griha Laxmi Card will be generated by greeting you a message “Congratulations! Your Griha Laxmi Card is successfully activated”
To download your card just scroll down the page and tap on the Download The Card button
Your card will be downloaded in a PDF file version, which you can store on your phone safely for future reference.
On the front view of your card 11 digits, UID number will be visible and on the backside, 4 digits PIN will be visible.
To check the authenticity of your card you can send the below SMS format

Griha Laxmi Card Offline Registration
Fill the registration form with a Goa TMC volunteer and receive Griha Laxmi Card on the spot
Authenticate the card by sending an SMS to 97620 97620 with<Unique Identification Number>, <Beneficiary Name>
The Unique identification number is the 11 digit alpha-numeric UID code present at the bottom left corner of the card
Upon successful registration, the registrant will receive a 4 digits unique pin via SMS
Note this PIN number on the backside of the Griha Laxmi card
What is the Griha Laxmi Scheme?
Griha Laxmi is a guaranteed income support scheme that will provide assured monthly income support of ₹5000 (₹60,000 yearly) to a woman of every household.
Do the women who have been registered need to have a bank account to avail this benefit?
If you do not have a bank account, you can still receive the benefit. Once Goa TMC forms the government, a government official will guide you through the process to receive funds, based on the details we collect now.
What if the Griha Laxmi Card is misplaced or lost?
It is advised to keep the card safely. However, we have the Unique Identification Number (UID) of everyone registering through SMS or online confirmation, which can be used to reissue the card in the future.
Why are all the women members in a household not allowed to register for the benefit?
Griha Laxmi is a scheme aimed at the prosperity of the household. Keeping in view the pivotal role played by a woman in the prosperity of a household, the direct transfer will be made to the account of a woman of each household.
When can the beneficiary start availing this benefit?
As soon as TMC forms the government in Goa the scheme will be implemented.
Do I need to provide any Identification Proof during the time of Registration?
No, you are not required to give any identification proof at the time of Registration.
Do I only get the benefit of the Griha Laxmi Card if I agree to join your Party?
No, any woman of a Goan household (1 per household) can be registered for the benefit
What is the procedure of the payments going to look like? Is it going to be once a year?
No, the stipulated amount will be given on a monthly basis. So every registered household will receive a direct transfer of ₹5,000 per month (amounting to ₹60,000 per year).
Is there any eligibility criteria for availing the benefit?
The eligibility criteria for the Griha Laxmi Card is very simple: One adult woman member from each household can register herself/ get registered by any family member on her behalf.
Will I receive the amount in cash?
No, it will be an unconditional direct transfer.
If there is no woman in the family, can we still register and avail the benefits of the scheme?
Such requests will be considered on a case-to-case basis.
Is this scheme applicable for residents of West Bengal?
Although the scheme Griha Laxmi has been launched by the West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, it cannot be applied by the residents of West Bengal. The Scheme is currently only available for Goan residents.
