If you are an ChatGPT user then while generating an image you might be experiencing an error “Something Went Wrong While Generating Your Image. Sorry about that.“. When you receive such error the image which you are generating won’t get sucesfully created and the process would get aborted.
Right now this is a very common issue faced by most of the ChatGPT users while generating an image, whether its on Laptop/ PC or Mobile. Whether you are on Paid or Free Plan, this is the error which is getting frequently trigerred while generting the images.
This issue can be easily fixed by following our tips explained here. Use any of the below tips and if that works then you don’t need to follow the next tip.

New Chat
Sometimes this error can be fixed by starting a new chat. So incase if you get such error while generating image then create a new chat and start generating the image from there.
If that don’t worked then follow the next step.
Re-Login
While generating image if you encounter such error then logout your ChatGPT Account and relogin. After re-logging into account if you are sucesfully able to generate images then it has fixed the issue.
Regenerate
While generating an image if the process gets inturupped by an error “Something Went Wrong While Generating Your Image. Sorry about that.“, then in such you may type the prompt Regenerate and hit enter. ChatGPT will re-attempt to generate the same image for which you have given the command. If this time the image gets generated then your issue has been fixed.
Clearing Site Cache
A simple site cache refresh could sometimes fix such image related errors, to do so follow steps:
Desktop/ Laptop Chrome Browser: If you using ChatGPT on Desktop or Laptop on Chrome Browser visit ChatGPT Website. Click on the View Site Information appearing before the address bar. Click on Cookies and Site data and then click on Manage on-device site data, A On-device site data pop-up will appear. Under Data from the site you’re visiting click on the trash icon appearing against ChatGPT. And this will delete the saved data of ChatGPT.
Desktop/ Laptop Firefox Browser:If you are using ChatGPT on Desktop or Laptop on Firefox then visit the ChatGPT Website. Click on the Lock Icon appearing before the address bar, and click on Clear Cookies and Site Data. A pop-up will appear Removing Cookies and Data, click on Remove button and this will delete the cookies and site data of ChatGPT.
Now you may relogin again into your account and try generating image in ChatGPT and this should possibly fix the issue.
If you are using ChatGPT using an app on your phone then: in:
Android: Go to Settings > App Management > App List > Tap on ChatGPT from the list
Under App info, tap on Storage usage and tap on Clear Data
This will clear the ChatGPT app data
Now you may launch the ChatGPT and relogin using your credentials
Try Generating the Image, if its getting generated then it has solved the issue.
Apple: Go to Settings > Tap on General > Tap on iPhone Storage> Tap on ChatGPT from the list
Tap on the Delete App
Install the ChatGPT app again from the app store, login into your account
And try generating the image, if it’s generating the images then the error has been sucesfully fixed.
